I wanted to share a new functionality that I've added to the stock channels. We can now see extra information about any stock:

Exchange


Market cap


Current price


% daily change 


Average volume


Beta correlation


Sector and Industry


News related to the stock




This information is not available for all the exchanges. I am still adding the extra data. I need to add them manually, so it's taking some time. Bear with me. This is what it looks like. This extra information is available on the lists and inside every stock channel.

 

The news module has been added to the American stocks alone. I have not found a service that provides that information for all the exchanges. You don't need to know what is happening with a stock to take a trading decision, as you already know. However, I also know that most people "like" to read about their investing stocks.

You will see the latest news for each stock on the right sidebar. The screenshot below shows an example.

The official trading channels will only display analyses published by the administrator. Whenever you want to know what the official analysis is for any asset, you can search for it on the search box or the forums.

This is where the Request an Update feature comes in handy.

But what if the analysis hasn't been updated for some time, and you want an update?


What if you're going to take a trade and make sure the analysis is still correct?




You can request an update by clicking on the button that you will find at the top and at the bottom of every topic. See attachment below.


You will have a limited number of requests per week. This number is set to 3 as of the 14th December 2021. Once you click on the Request Update button, you will be presented with a popup to confirm the request.


We will receive a notification when the request is submitted. Once received, we will update your request as soon as possible. When the analysis is updated, you will receive a notification on your profile and an email. Ensure you add @set-and-forget.com domain to your safe email list to prevent the emails from landing on your spam folder.

The crypto ERC screener is live after a few weeks of development. A few glitches need to be fixed and improved, but it's working more or less as expected.

The ERC screener will allow you to locate potential imbalances made of several consecutive ERC candles by looking back at a predefined number of candles in time. It's a very powerful tool if you know how to use it. It's also a great starting point for your trading day. Why? Instead of going over your crypto watchlist from A-Z or Z-A or your colour labels in trading view, why not screen for the latest impulses and learn if those impulses have actually become an imbalance.

You can find the ERC screener under the Tools menu. 


 

This is what the screener looks like when scanning for two consecutive bearish ERC candles on the H4 timeframe.


 

You will also be presented with chart widgets that show you where those impulses are located. Remember that an impulse is just that, an impulse. Not all impulses are imbalances, there are rules for that.

Hello everyone,

Hope you are doing well and staying safe. You may have noticed that there is no possibility to reply or add a new analysis in the official forums for any market. There is a reason for that.

I've been thinking a lot about the direction I want the set and forget community to go. As you already know, most members do not contribute at all, not even liking or disliking the analyses we share. For this reason, I've to make several decisions:

Disable posting in the current forums. I will be the only one posting in the official forums, what we could call the "official analyses".


I will move the analyses made by other members to another area that I am currently building. These posts will be transferred to this new area if it's not too complicated or time-consuming. Otherwise, they will be deleted. Don't worry, because your understanding of the rules cannot be deleted from your brain 🙂




Since I started with the community back in 2013, I've learned that the majority of traders that join the community just read. They want to learn but they do not put in the hard work needed to understand and trade the markets. 

Other changes I will make:

Read-only memberships. Members will only be able to read the official analyses, which are posted now by me only. No access to support, questions and answers, rules or anything. Just read the analyses, access to the hotlists, short video analyses and tutorials. These read-only memberships will be much cheaper, but there will be no learning material or support.


Learning memberships. For those who really want to learn. They will have access to everything, including support, homework, assignments, tests and exams (extra $$) before moving on, etc. 




For these changes to occur, I need to prevent members from posting in the official forums from now on. Otherwise, I will have much more extra work to do. Bear in mind that I will have to MANUALLY EDIT every topic in the community, thousands of them. It's a tremendous amount of work. But it will be worth it, believe me.

In the meantime, please post your analyses in a new channel that I have created called PLANNING A TRADE. You can find this new channel in the trading channels, next to the others. You can also find it in the main menu navigation. See screenshot below.

This is a temporary workaround as I work in the official channels and I create the new functionalities. You can still use other forums like "Testing the Rules", "Newbies" or "Questions and Answers" to ask anything or post an analysis.

There is a brand new feature that has been added to the trading community. You can now add topics and individual posts within topics to your Bookmarks. This feature changes the old reading list. Now, not only topics but also posts within topics can be added. This will allow you to keep track of your favourite topics the easy way and find them a lot faster. You can also read them at your leisure. Like, Add Movies to My List thing on Netflix, if you will. It behaves like bookmarks on your Internet Browser. You can add topics to their reading list for a certain amount of time or permanently.

I just wanted to let you know that I've created a brand new section where hand-picked stocks watchlists will be added. I've just started to add them manually. Be patient. The number of lists will grow over the following months. It takes time to create the pages and connect them with the database of stocks.

I just wanted to let you know that I've been working hard to add the logos of every stock, cryptos and Forex cross pair available in the trading community. We are talking about thousands. It's taking some time, but I am getting closer to finalize it.

Hello everyone,
I've been tweaking the web site here and there and added a few new functionalities. Many of you have already realized that member's profiles now display their country's flag. See below.


Besides the flag, I've tweaked a few things here and there and added a small market overview widget that provides a quick glance at the latest market activity across various sectors. I have configured the most important indexes, forex cross pairs and cryptos, on three different tabs. There isn't too much room for more. This widget is only shown on the home page for now. It will give you a general idea of what the global markets are doing.


I am trying to find a widget that displays a single horizontal line with the basic information for a stock, Forex and cryptos. But I can't find any. If anyone knows about this, please let me know. I want to add a new line of code below every topic with that specific asset's information.

I am playing with a few that I've found huge to be placed underneath the topic title in the listings. See below.  I played with Apple and EURUSD a bit.



I want something smaller but I can't find any. If you know about any html widget that could help, please let me know. Ideally a single line that doesn't take up too much room would be ideal. See EURUSD below, it's huge.

There are times when a new feature or some changes have to be notified to all members or displayed at a specific section of the website. Emails are good, but too many emails are not.

For this reason, I've added a new feature to the community that will allow me to create post-it like global and personal notifications:

Create a post-it like global notification about a certain change or a new feature.


Create an announcement about a forthcoming webinar or a problem in a specific section of the community.


Most of these announcements will be dismissable. Exceptionally, some will not be dismissable until a specific date. For instance, the website could be under maintenance.


Send personal post-it (notifications) to a specific member. Why? Maybe he is not doing things right, and I keep on warning him to do things right. I might send him a personal notification and prevent him temporarily from posting unless he follows the rules and guidelines.




The possibilities and uses are endless. If you see a yellow announcement, please read it. 

See below how these post-its like notifications will look like. They will usually be in yellow because that's what a post-it looks like. You can the note around by holding the pin.

There are hundreds of stocks available in the community. Sometimes it can be difficult to locate a specific stock using the global search. Alternatively, you can filter the stock name alphabetically using the first letter of the stock name.

You will find all the letters of the alphabet at the top of the stock list. Click on any letter, and the list of stocks will be updated, displaying the stocks whose names start with that letter.
